Residential re-development in the Green Belt & Chiltern ANOB in Wendover
Concept planning were instructed by the new owner of the site to secure planning permission for the re-development of the site to optimise the existing dwelling and re-develop the substantial outbuilding on site.
In such a highly sensitive location in both the Green Belt and the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Beauty, the creation of the highest quality design that respects the character of the location is of the most importance.
The inspiration behind the design was rooted in the desire to create a broadly traditional development with chimneys but with a contemporary infusion. A significant portion of the location is landscaped and the location of the dwelling houses on site are design to create a sense of place and continue rural character while optimising the sites existing brownfield qualities.
Situated in a rural and protected environment, the scheme is designed for family living but with access to Wendover train station and Aylesbury beyond.
